Hey! Having website problems eh? Well my advice may help you make a better
site for you and a better webmaster yourself. I am quitte successful and I beleive
these tips can help anyone that is a webmaster or webmistriss.
Content: One of the most important things for owning a website! Many people will visit your site if you have a great amount of content and will spread the word. Also reliable content is key not guessing it has too be perfected and not messy! For example FFINSIDER has a huge amount of content! So what is its all stolen no one seems to care about that anymore! But if you look they don't have such an amazing layout. But you know what? Their layout isn't giving them hits its their huge amount of content that makes them popular so content you cant get enough of! If you have an awesome layout but for how long will some one look at an empty page? Also try to avoid 404 Errors in other words pages underconstruction too many will make your visitors disappear!Updates: People love to see updates on your site, if you haven't updated in weeks with no content submission you probably lost alot of people visiting your site. People will keep coming back if you update and not just coming soon articles try putting gaming news and rumors up. Because people will come to you for there source of gaming news.Layout and Navigation: This is extremely important! But with some key layouts or plain and simple you may be able to squeeze through this tiny problem and still having a very good site. Problem is people like good colors and not colors that clash for ex: green and red font and many colors. Try to limit your-self to 3-4 colors on your site because it gets really hard to read. Also your navigation setup should be easy. Visitors shouldn't have a hard time looking for content. I suggest do not use EASY PAGE BUILDER! It makes the pages come out different on every computer it isn't user friendly: sure it might look good on your computer screeen but its not proffessional. Also you can go to some sites and learn Html because seriously it shouldn't take you long to do. Once you learn Html take your layout to the next level make it graphical but reduce the graphics that no differences are seen but reduce the size so it decreases loading. Use programs as Photoshop, Ulead, or Fireworks. Go to our download section and we will give you the sites for downloads so you can download trials or full versions!Hits: If you just started your site you won't get many hits it may take a month for your site to start getting noticed and viewed frequently. But I suggest advertising on forums ( if they permit) or on your signature that appears on the bottom of your post. Also join topsites submit to search engine submiters. Look at our webmaster section for search engine submiters! Also join WorldSubmitter or Open Directory Each will submit you to thousands of FFA Links and search engines like Google and Yahoo. Also try affiliting with many sites but only ones that will give you hits. First you will start off slow but soon or later you will become huge! |
