Gameplay: There are 5 types of races in Underground mode. There is a circuit, which is a normal race that usually has 3 or 4 laps. But every once in awhile there will be 6 or 7 laps which can be pretty intense at times. Next, there are sprint races. Which are basically 1 lap from start to finish. Although it is 1 lap it takes usually the same time as a circuit race. Another type of race is a drag race. In the drag race you have a meter, and when the meter gets too high, you must shift gears down in order not to burn your engine. As well in the drag race you must not hit any vehicles as you risk totaling your car. The drag races usually last about 30 or 40 seconds, and difficult increases each drag race. One of my favorites is the drift race. A drift isn't really a race, but more of a competition. To drift, you need to make a turn and basically hold the turn for as long as possible. The longer you hold, the more points you get, however be careful to not hit the wall because you lose points! The last type of race in Underground is the lap knockout race. It is like a normal 3-lap circuit race, but at the end of each lap, the person who is in last is eliminated. Sometimes you will get tournament races which usually are 3 to 4 races long. The tournament races are usually circuits, drags, or drifts. All tournament races are the same type of race. In the whole game there are a total of 111 races. As you win more races, you can unlock more stuff to customize your car and improve your performance.

Graphics: The graphics in Underground are fantastic. The race track environment is realistic. It is also amazing the types of decals and vinyl you can put on your car. You name it, it's probably there. However when you crash there is no sign of damages. This is a minor defect but not bad.

Sound: The sound of the cars in Underground is very realistic; the roar of the muffler is truly amazing. The soundtrack is truly well picked and suits many types of genres, rap, rock, metal, etc. There is something there for everyone.

Overall: This game was truly amazing. Although I never beat the game I am very close I am at like race 90. I really enjoy playing this game. Especially when receiving upgrades. Every time I won a race I enjoyed going and customizing my car. I have played countless hours of this game and still play once in a while. I suggest if you don’t have this game go out and buy it.
