Nintendo is very well known for Super Smash Bros. Melee, and was probably the most anticipated game ever announced to hit the shelves. Once again, Nintendo of America Inc. Co. Ltd. And HAL Lab. Had no plans to provide gamers with any storyline whatsoever, but to make the game a completely revolutionary experience. With over 20 playable characters and stages. Who wouldn't think the game would be revolutionary. But wait, our friends at Nintendo have not only done that, they have also added a time consuming event mode,in which contains 51 events,5 diverse multi-man melee modes, an unlockable sound test feature, approximately 300 trophies, in which you collect throughout the game, and many other amazing features that by far, exceed its predecessor.

Although graphics may be 1 aspect of a game and 1 aspect only, SSBM's graphics by far, exceed those of its predecessor. SSBM's graphics may not be all that great, and they may seem incredibly horrible, compared to other, or even newer games. They still aren't all that bad. Nintebdo and HAL Lab seemed to put a lot of focus into the look of the playable characters and mode select layout.Sound is very nice. Matches perfectly, with every move on the controller you make. The game has no faulty sounds, and uses a lot of sounds from older games. Simple. Yet enhanced.

There are hundreds of different features and options in SSBM in which you are able to toggle around with. And various different modes. Including Melee, Tournement Melee, and many others which also include some of their very own unique features and characteristics. As most other games, on any other console. There is nearly always a single player mode. SSBM's single player modes include Classic, adventure, and All-Star. Classic, in which you go stage through stage defeating opponent after opponent(s). Adventure, in which you go throughout many diverse levels defeating enemies from various games, and like Classic and All-Star mode. At times, finding trophies. Sometime you may come across doubles of trophies. But they will still add up to your trophy list.

The gameplay of this game is excellent. There are no faulty areas, nor are there any mistakes in which Nintendo and HAL have created. All is good. None is bad. The fact there are so many playable characters, unlockable, or not, and stages, unlockable or not once again. Also adds to the amount of gameplay. The playable characters include Mario, Dr. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, C. Falcon, Ganondorf, Link, Young Link, Zelda, Pikachu, Pichu, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Ice Climbers, Ness, Fox, Falco, Mr. Game and Watch, Roy, Marth, Kirby, Donkey Kong, and Samus. All of the above included the unlockable characters aswell as the characters in which you start with.

This game may not seem very challenging at first, but as you go farther into the game, it will get much more challenging. Times can also get hard when trying to complete the various multi-man melee modes. Or even challenging 2-3 level 9 CPU's on the team melee mode. The level of frustration in the game is quite low. Nothing really effects it.There are also multiple ways of unlocking different characters, in oh so very many different ways. I will list a few examples below.

To unlock Jigglypuff, you must simply finish classic mode once, with any character, any stoc, and any level of difficulty. To unlock Mewtwo,you must play a total of 700 multiplayer battles, or have a total play time of 20 hours or higher. To unlock Ganondorf, you must simply finish event 26. As you may have known. There are various ways to unlock certain characters, and the fact that before actually unlocking the character. You must defeat him in a simple 2 minute melee battle.Due to lack of replayability of SSBM, it seems to be quite similar to its predecessor. Or, so it seems.
