Resident Evil 4 is a survival-horror game developed by Capcom, and is the sixth installment to the series. This game holds a rating of M for mature, which is very reasonable, for it is a very violent and graphic game. It was released on October 15th, 2005 in North America , on November 4th, 2005 in Europe , and on December 1st, 2005 in Japan . This game was originally developed for the Nintendo Gamecube, but had also been transferred to the PS2 at a later time. And I must say, the GC version is better, as some may doubt.

The story is set in the year 2004. 6 years after what occured in RE2. The Umbrella Corporation goes bankrupt, and is finished. Nothing but a mere scientific curiosity. You take control of Leon S. Kennedy. A U.S. agent, and former Raccoon City Police Department rookie. You are sent to a Castilian-speaking European village, in search of the president¡¦s daughter, Ashley. You must stop at nothing, to save her. As you can see the story is quite complex. In a way you can say its nothing you havn¡¦t seen before. But it certainly fits the style of game.

Story, 9/10.

You see, the thing about replayability is that you can play this game all the way through 3 times and still not have a repetitious feeling of the game. Take it from me, I have. Just not all the way through. As this game lasts very long, you can imagine it doesn¡¦t have much a source of replayability. But that statement, is incorrect.

Replayability, 7.5/10.

The gameplay of this game is simply amazing. The feeling you get from sniping a villager, coming face to face with a chainsaw, or finding your very first shotgun is sensational. Sensatioanl may not be the word to describe what I am trying to say. Every aspect of the game has been perfected. The level of interactivity in the game is very high, and you have various options to do so. Yet, newbs to TPSs may have trouble with the laser light shown when you aim.

Gameplay, 9/10.

The graphics displayed in this game are appalling. All of it. I did not find a single item or object in this game that differed from the rest. The character models for the zombies are made to perfection. The environments are peiced together quite nicely, and flow swifty with each other.

Graphics, 10/10.

When it comes to the controls, they are relativly simple. R1 to aim, X to fire, Square and Circle to Reload, etc. Like any other shooter for the PS2, the controls are simple, yes. But there do happen to be many. Aswell as the fact the reaction of every button you pressed seem perfectly fine, no choppiness or anything.

Controls, 8.5/10.

Resident Evil 4 is an overall amazing game, and I don¡¦t think any gamer should miss out on the experience this game provides. I had no faults whatsoever with the game, nor any sort of camera issues. I give this game an overall score of 9.5, out of 10.
