Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is a first person shooter in which is a sequel to its predecessor, Metroid Prime. It is the first Metroid game to feature a multiplayer mode, aswell as the fact it is much more in depth than the original Metroid Prime. Featuring a variety of different weapons and power ups. It was released on November 15th, 2005 in North America , on November 26th, 2005 in Europe , and on May 26th, 2005 in Japan . With a reasonable rating of T for Teen.

The graphics of the game prove overall very nice. Some of the greatest I・ve seen on the GC. More textural than many other FPS・s on this console. From the slashed and thrashed introductory relative enemies, to the amazing looking beam effects, the graphics are definitely a site to see. You can clearly see that the developers at Nintendo and Retro Studios put a lot of time into the visuals of this game. Some may say it isn・t anything they・ve seen before. But for a game of this status, they truly are impressive.

Graphics

Gameplay of the game is what glues every aspect of this game together. The game provides an assortment of beams and visors. The single player is the main focus of the game. Yet there are very fun and usually not very time consuming multiplayer modes. 2 areas for the multiplayer remained open, while 3 begin locked. There are many, many bosses throughout this game. Which include Amorbis, Chykka, Quadraxis, and Emperor Ing. Amorbis, which is a giant insect guarding the Dark Agon Temple in Dark Aether. It has 3 separate caterpillar-like bodys. Its main power source is the massive black sphere surging with energy at the tail of this monster. Chykka, which is the giant instect guarding the Dark Tovus Temple . Although when Samus enters the temple it is still in its cacoon, once shot at, it emerges as larvae, and later some sort of butterfly-like being. I think I・ve spoiled enough of the game already, I・ll leave the finding of Quadraxis and Emperor Ing for you other gamers out there. This game is accessible to all gamers. New and old.

Gameplay

The controls are very simplistic once you get used to them. Which it is very, easy to get used to them. The learning curve of this game is about 5 minutes or so. Unless you are new to FPS-style games, these controls will be nothing new to you. And are nearly exactly the same as its predecessor・s controls. Metroid Prime. The charge beem・s timing is also very easy get used to, so there willnae be any need for practice.

Controls

If you are an avid Metroid fan, or havn・t lost faith in the series over the past 4 years, aswell as getting tired of playing Metroid Prime, I suggest you pick this game up. I recommend this game to anyone in which likes FPS・s or just plain action shooters. It・s a truly suspensful GC title. I give this game an overall score of 8, out of 10.
