Story:
You are Cloud an ex-member from Soldier who has become a mercenary in the service of Avalanche. Avalanche fights against the Shinra corporation who are draining the planet of its life force. You help Avalanche to blow up 2 Mako reactors. After you blow up the second reactor the story becomes complicated with the appearance of Sephiroth and his control over Cloud. Sephiroth was supposed to be dead. The further you get into the story the more complex it will become. I had to finish the game twice to understand the story. Story 5/5

Gameplay:
The game play is easy to understand and is explained during the 2 attacks on the reactors. This game uses the ATB system which I find to be the best system. The characters can use skills and magic they get from equipping materia to their weapons and armour. If you give a characters Fire materia for example by fighting you gain exp, money, items and Ap to upgrade you materia. The higher the level of the materia the more magic it gives. A level 3 fire materia gives Fire and Fire 2. The characters have limit breaks which you can use instead of your normal attack when the limit gauge is full. All of the characters except for Cait Sith have 4 limit levels. You get new limit breaks by using the previous one a certaibn number of times. The higher the limit level the longer it takes for the gauge to fill up. The game also has a place called Gold Saucer where you can play a lot of mini games. One of those mini games is chocobo racing. You can bet on chocobo races but you can race if you have caught a chocobo. Chocobo’s also have other purposes. Gameplay 5/5

Graphics:
The graphics in this game don’t look good at this moment but the moment the game was released the graphics were splendid. Graphics 3.5/5

Sound:
The sound in this Final Fantasy game is excellent just like the other Final Fantasy games. Sound 5/5

Overall:
Overall this game is another master piece by Squaresoft. The lack of graphics quality is more the made up by everything else. If you have never played it is still worth the money to buy it. This game also has a few emotional moments so I recommend you have tissues in the neighborhood when you play it.
