He is the captain of the Kukai foundations ship 'Durandal'. The ship itself is strange, it can turn into the 'Durandal Hotel' when it comes into a certain point in Kukai. In the past, J.R. fought in a very terrible war [10 years ago to be exact] and he lost his friend to the dark side.
