Story:
You play as Zidane a member of Tantalus. Tantalus is a gang of thieves. You have to kidnap princess Garnet during a play that is being preformed by the other members of Tantalus. You get the princess along but not without a few problems. The flying ship of Tantalus crashes in the dark forest while you were heading to Lindblum. The story as in most Final Fantasy games is to save the world from its end. This story has a few events that make the story difficult to understand. Story 4/5

Gameplay:
The battles use the Active Time Battle system. The characters learn new abilities by receiving weapons and equipment. Then they have the abilities but when you change weapons and equipment they lose those abilities unless they have learned them by winning a certain amount of AP with a weapon and equipment. To use abilities in battle a character must use his or her MP. This game also has a card game. There are card tournaments held in Treno. Treno also is the place where there are auctions. In these auctions you can obtain rare items. This Final Fantasy also has a mini game named Chocobo hot and cold. In this mini game you have to dig for chocograph’s in chocobo forests. When you get a chocograph you have to look for the place described in the chocograph to get a treasure. After a few treasures your chocobo gets upgraded to a new one with more abilities. In the chocobo forests you can also get other items. For each item the moogle in the forests give you points which you can exchange for rare items. 5/5

Graphics:
The graphics in this game were nice when the game came out. They can’t compare with the graphics of today. Graphics 3.5/5

Sound:
The sound in this game wasn’t as nice as the other Final Fantasy games. Some of the sound used in this Final Fantasy was just remixed versions from other Final Fantasies. Sound 3/5

Overall:
This game is a nice game but I think it’s only enjoyable if you are a real RPG fanatic.
