FinalFantasy VII - Locations
| Midgar | ||||
| Town of which the story first takes place. Midgar is a realitivly large city and is made up of different sectors. The entire city is powered by Mako Reactors which literally suck the life out of the planet for fuel. In the middle of the city is the Shinra Building. Shinra pretty much runs this place in every aspect. Their soldiers are scattered everywhere and they run all of the Mako Reactors. | ||||
| Kalm | ||||
| Kalm is a realitivly peaceful town. It is paved with cobblestone and has old fashioned looking houses. The Citizens here are all very nice and are helpful to you in every aspect. | ||||
| Chocobo Ranch | ||||
| The Chocobo Ranch is a place where you can either rent chocobos or even breed them for racing. It is a very small ranch but is useful in the game. The owner of the ranch has 2 sons that work with him for help. The Rancher seems very wanting of money as you may see if you try to stay at his place. | ||||
| Fort Condor | ||||
| Fort Condor keeps true to its name by being a place for battle grounds. On top of the massive fort rests a Condor gaurding an egg. The tower itself is painted blue. It is here that the people running the fort fend off Shinra soldiers who are trying to grasp the egg in which holds a mysterious power. | ||||
| Junon | ||||
| Junon is Shinra's main military base. Here they have created their massive cannon in which can inflict massive damage upon impact. Here they also undersea research facilities and airfields that house airships. Soldiers are trained here and become part of the elite in the Shinra forces. | ||||
| Costa Del Sol | ||||
| Costa Del Sol would be defined as the most ideal place to spend a vacation. Beach access, warm weather, and of course woman in bikinis. The town has lots of tourists. Many flock to the beach and the bar for majority of their entertainment in this city. | ||||
| Gold Saucer | ||||
| Golden Saucer is the ultimate amuesment park in the world. The place is packed with so many things you can do. There is the arcade area in which you can play tons of mini-games to earn GP. There is the Hotel which is ghost themed and many may find creepy. The battle square is for battles of the most brave of warriors. Chocobo Racing and placing bets can all be found in the Chocobo Square. You may take the tour ride of the gold saucer and explore all of it from amazing veiw points. Basically everything fun you would want to do in the game shall be found here. | ||||
| North Corel | ||||
| Town that is home of Barret. The people of the town live in rough and horrible conditions. Houses are all in shambles, people have tents set up, and they are all forced to live on barren land. The people of the town blame Barret for all of their troubles and dislike him in almost every aspect. | ||||
| Nibelheim | ||||
| This is the birthplace of Cloud and Tifa. The city itself is surrounded by the Nibelheim Mountains which house a Mako Reactor. Shinra also has signs of presence here in their Mansion located at the back end of the town. The mansion was really used for scientific experimentation. Large amounts of books from studies can be found in the basement. Cloud often has flashbacks of this place when he was young and remember how him and Tifa used to play. The town was burnt down by Sephiroth quite a few years back after he learnded about his truth. The town has been restored since that incident. | ||||
| Rocket Town | ||||
| Rocket town is the hometown of Cid Highwind. The town got its name for being a Shinra launch site of a rocket. Due to some errors a long time ago the rocket was abandoned from usage and is just seen as a monument. It is a realitivly peaceful town until Shinra arrives and tries to re-activate the rocket for their own evil ways. | ||||
| Wutai | ||||
| Hometown of the materia theif Yuffie. This town is very japanese styled. All the houses have the pagoda styled roofs. Statues of their gods and beliefs are found everywhere. They worship the summon monster Leviathin as one of their main gods. Yuffie's father is the tribal leader of the village and runs everything. To the back of the town there is a giant mountain with carvings of all of their gods. Inside the mountains are caves and passages revealing mysterious things. | ||||
| Cosmo Canyon | ||||
| The home of RedXIII(Nanaki). The town is basically a giant observation tower with little homes carved into the side of the giant cliff. The observation tower is to look into space and study the planets and stars. There lies an underground passage in the canyon that has been sealed off for years because nothing but evil monsters lurk there. Bugenhagen, RedXIII's grandfather, is the leader of the tribe there. | ||||
| Gongaga | ||||
| Gongaga is a very small village surrounded by forests. The population is very small here due to an incident that happened a couple years ago. Shinra had a Mako Reactor built here but an accident occured and it exploded which caused most of the population to get wiped out. Mainly elders live here now. Survivors of the blast go and mourn over their lost ones in the cemetary that they built. | ||||
| Temple of the Ancients | ||||
| An ancient temple that was built by the Ancients many years ago. The temple has remained in ruins. Monsters lurk everywhere in this area. The temple was created long ago to protect a sacred object that has been hidden deep inside ever since the creation. Due to recent events Sephiroth has been wanting to obtain the treasure. | ||||
| Mideel | ||||
| A small coastal island in the lower islands. It is a very peaceful village that would welcome anyone to visit. After an attack on the village by Diamond weapon, it ripped open the lifestream and now flooded and completly devastated the entire place. | ||||
| Bone Village | ||||
| Known for excavation. Bone village is the passageway to the Forest of Ancients. At bone village almost anything can be digged up, such as items that you missed earlier in the game. To make an excavation successful it is better to use more search scouts when igniting the bomb for a search. The more scouts you have then the more accurate you can be on getting that item. The scouts will all point in the direction of the item so place them all over the place to get it right. | ||||
| Forgotten Capital | ||||
| This is the city of which the ancients used to live in. They all mysteriously vanished long ago but their ruins remain. The city looks like it used to be underwater because it is filled with coral reef. Many secrets still lie in the ruins such as hidden rooms and mysterious objects. This is also the resting place of Aeris after she passes away. | ||||
| Icicle Inn | ||||
| A small town in the northern mountains. The town is always covered in snow which makes living there a hard thing to do. Many expeditionaries live here and have their past of when they tried to reach the northern crater. Through this town you may reach the vast snowland that lies between here and the Northern crater. | ||||
| Northern Cave Crater | ||||
| A giant crater that is left in the northern most part of the planet. This is an area that has not been able to be accessed in a very long time. It is here that the entrance to the lifestream may be found. It holds mysterious powers that are vital to the planet and that is what makes it very important place in the game. | ||||
