Cid is one of the best pilots in the world. He cares about his plane the Tiny Bronco, and he owns the great Highwind. He does have a foul mouth, and enjoys a good smoke, but hey, no one's perfect. Cid has always dreamed of going into space, and with the help of Shinra, was almost given that chance. As the Rocket was taking off, Cid learned that one of the crew was still in the rocket, checking the oxygen tanks. Cid told her to get off, as she would otherwise be burned, but she stayed there. Cid aborted the mission, and was never able to go into space. He decides to join avalanche for something to do, but later on in the game, gets to go into space.
