Barret is also a main character in FF7. He leads AVALANCHE into battle against Shinra. Barret knows the harm they are doing to the world. Shinra also destroyed his home town - North Coral, killing his wife, as well as loosing his right hand in an attempt to save his friend Dyne. Barret had a gun put in place of his lost arm so he could fight Shinra. He is the most passionate one in the group, he also has tendencies to lose his temper and his common sense along with it.
