The city of Midgar is economically, militarily, and politically dominated by the Shinra Electricity Company, a company responsible for draining the Mako Energy out of the Planet in exchange of electricity. An Ex-SOLDIER Cloud recently joined AVALANCHE, a rebel resistance group of terrorist which fears the safety of the Planet, and started the plan on destroying the Mako Reactors of Midgar. However, danger awaits them when a man called Sephiroth who destroyed Cloud's homeland, and begins the revenge to the Planet.
